The origins of the Faculty<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Faculty of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology established with the approval of Beni Suef University in its session No. 138 on 06-20-2016 as the first specialized college of its kind in Egyptian universities. Council of ministers approved Resolution No. 849 dated 04\/18\/2017 and the college\u2019s academic regulations were drawn up over 10 semesters in the credit hour system, beginning with the preparatory year “preparatory”,the faculty includes many departments “Astronautics – Space Sciences – Space Communications” and each department had its own regulations , due to the lack of time for the study to start in the college, the approval of the science sector was taken and all these departments were merged into one program under the name of “space navigation science program” with a single list that includes all the departments mentioned and with the start of the graduation project starting from the fifth term Each student will specialize in one of the aforementioned departments according to the nature of his work in the project, and in the end the student will be awarded a bachelor\u2019s degree in this program with the same name.<\/p>\n

Since the college is still in its second year, a clear plan has been drawn up and will be completed with a time that is inversely proportional to speed, and a laboratory will be established at least every year. Indeed, in the previous year, the first space telescope of its kind in Egyptian universities was purchased from Germany and laboratory No. 3 was equipped to be A ground station for tracking satellites, space waste and celestial bodies, as well as seeing the Ramadan and Eid crescent with the participation of the Egyptian Dar Al Ifta. This year, Laboratory No. 2 will be established and so on every year until the college becomes the largest integrated scientific base in the field of navigation sciences and space technology. One of the advantages of the college: It accepts high school students in science and mathematics, so it remains a better option for students with high levels and levels interested in the field of space, lovers of exclusivity in success, and those who do not want in colleges of medicine, pharmacy, physical therapy or engineering, and the college received the first batch in 2018 through the Coordination Office With a total of 95.7% scientific science and 92.07% science mathematics and the class of 2019 with a total of 97% scientific science and 93% scientific mathematics waiting for the class of 2020 and despite that in 2018 and 2019 many people totaling 98% and higher than the science of science and sports entered the college and proved itself in it Meritorious because it was an initial wish for them.<\/p>\n

The college is one of the most important colleges of the new generation as it is considered the pioneer of this field classified as the most important pillars of knowledge based on the renaissance of nations, which increases its scientific strength, which makes it need for those with scientific capabilities as its students are among the strongest students of the republic to suit the field of work, so every successful student has the ability to develop himself He will be able to work anywhere, and the college encourages and helps him. Most of the students started from the first year to develop their skills in research, learning and training , although this is a difficult need for students in their first year of university, we have students nowadays study Programming courses and training in many places in Egypt, such as (Ministry of Military Production – Technology Pioneers Association NTL – Navigation Training at October 6 Airport) and many other training and partnerships with (the Ministry of Military Production – the Ministry of Communications – the Ministry of Civil Aviation – the Space Agency The Egyptian – Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – Cairo University) and many other higher scientific bodies.<\/p>\n

The faculty also divides students into multiple teams, each team works on a specific project to develop teamwork, and a team of students has achieved first place in the science sector by participating in a research project on space debris and ways to dispose of it under the supervision of faculty professors in the fourth innovation conference organized by the Ministry of Higher Education at the University Beni-Suef and other groups of students are now preparing other projects to participate in scientific competitions and conferences.<\/p>\n

These training and participation took shape as a team of faculty students produced a can sate model, which is the first achievement of its kind in the university and in many universities, which was accomplished by the students of the first year of the college.<\/p>\n

The faculty was the first to set up international workshops attended by scientists from Egypt and abroad on the role of space technology in developing industry, and also a radar survey center was established at BeniSuef University under the supervision of the college and its first achievement was the detection of groundwater sources in the eastern Nile in the governorate through photos Satellites and Earth-surveying radars penetrate the soil in early 2019, and future students will also be trained in this center.<\/p>\n

Faculty members in the faculty from the disciplines (aerospace engineering – space science – telecommunications engineering – physics, astronomy and mathematics) with the participation of some professors delegated from outside Egypt, and they are assigned to certain periods during the academic year.<\/p>\n

Applied Space and Navigation Sciences Program<\/span><\/h3>\n

In addition to the Astronautics Program, the Applied Space and Navigation Sciences Program was opened this year, which is a distinguished program with fees and joining it through the Coordination Office as well. It has the practical and training side through practical and academic training in many specialized bodies through cooperation protocols, and the recruitment of specialized professors from the most important scientific institutions abroad and at home to teach some specialized courses according to the regulation.<\/p>\n

Finally: The small number that the college accepts is a very natural thing, given that the field is limited, but in the future, with Egypt entering more in the field of space technology, this number will increase and the college will expand further, and it is possible that we will find other colleges in Egypt with the same specialization.<\/p>\n
