How do you ensure your on-site equipment is leak free and safe? Has there been any incident caused by leaks of flammable substance? Performing Infrared (IR) Thermography inspection is a part of the Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) framework to ensure all assets are leak free. Having leak free environment at our workplace is one of the efforts towards Safety & Health compliance and excellence.<\/p>\n

As we all know, hydrocarbon gases are highly flammable and could cause catastrophe in presence of an ignition source. All fittings such as flanges, tubing connections, dead legs and etc are inspected thoroughly via thermography. The conventional Snoop Test method are widely used. However, IR thermography are proven to be prone to small leak detection and could scan a broad area of interest faster. Snoop test are reliable but slow and could miss certain leaks. In addition, IR thermography provides a \u2018visual evidence\u2019 of the leak where you could capture the movement of the gases in IR mode. Each findings are classified to High, Medium & Low category based on their severity LEL% and given a timeframe to rectify the findings.<\/p>\n
